S3 Thermal Imaging is a business offering infrared photographic services, which can be used to identify structural, medical and electrical problems.
Our design exploration was revolutionary in that we were essentially rebooting the brand. A few of our more interesting concepts explored the idea of a visual reveal, and structural heat loss. But the winning solution had a stronger technical appeal with its circuit like icon and thermographic pallet.
The S3 business cards represented our first opportunity to get our hand dirt and fully flesh out the brand pallet including color, typography image consideration. Most notably it marked the introduction of the fiery background graphic that plays in a central role in other communications.
Chief among them was the website, which of course continued to build on the S3's core equities. It was built using the Drupal content management system and features the kind functionality one would expect from the powerful CMS. We leveraged its taxonomy to tag content and create relationships so that images, news articles and resources could be selectively filtered in or out of specific pages based on their associations. Additionally, we have RSS Feeds, and of course a contact forms with spam controls. But perhaps most importantly, the CMS is configured to allow the client safe access to add, edit and remove content through its back end interface.
