I am one of those people whose mind is always churning about something. Count me among the poor souls who lose sleep ruminating on the events, conversations and ideas of the day.
You can imagine that design and branding would be among the topics I favor having made it my vocation. Nothing high minded, but I often consider the challenges my clients face. Despite the diversity of their services, I’ve found they tend to have a lot of the same issues.
Most of them are small and medium size businesses or initiatives. Many have only made modest investment in their design and brand communications. Almost none have any marketing background, and therefore don’t even know where to begin, let alone what to expect from a designer/branding studio.
Having dealt with these issues for many years I have started to develop some very clear insights. The result of which is the collection of analogies and examples I commonly share with clients to illustrate a point and steward the process. This brand blog will serve as a resource where these ideas can be published and shared.
If you are a small business owner, or someone charged with deploying or overhauling a brand, you might want to stick around. Furthermore, if you are a design/marketing professional that is simply interested in the banding process, or the challenges of branding on a budget, there may be something for you here as well.
Lastly, this blog will be a live document. Like I said, my mind is always churning. It seems only fair that my words would as well.
