Gavula Design is a strategic branding studio specializing in the development and redesign of corporate identity and brand communications. Our clients consist of small and large companies looking to establish or refresh their organization or initiative’s brand voice.

Unlike most small design studios we offer a uniquely diverse set of skills with a mind for brand strategy, expertise in print production, and experience developing robust Drupal based sites. This enables us to offer our clients the simplicity and efficiency of a single collaborator with the benefit of a consistent, award-winning vision.

John Gavula

John founded Gavula Design in 2004 having previously designed for Solution LLC and LAGA. As a contractor, he has provided design and illustrator services for many of New York and the region's biggest brand consultancies.

Leveraging this experience, and his multi-disciplinary background he now works closely with Gavula Design’s clients as a trusted branding partner, and steward. This approach balances the ease of a single colaborator with the capacity to scale in association with a network of proven colleagues.

John is an alumnus of Syracuse University where he studied illustration, communications design, and writing. In his free time he enjoys arty films, chess, biking, learning new things, and the occasional wheat beer.
